The best biscuits are served hot, buttermilk tang, but most importantly they make you feel like home.

Biscuit Love

Chefs Karl and Sarah Worley first began serving their Southern cuisine out of a Nashville food truck, garnering a devoted following at both the Franklin Farmers Market and White's Mercantile. In 2015, they opened their brick-and-mortar restaurant in The Gulch.

"This Nashville darling went from an Airstream food truck to being one of the most popular brunch spots in town (note: there will be a long line, accept it, become one with it). Our two favorite things are the Nasty Princess, which is what happens with you combine the Easty Nasty and the Princess to create a hot chicken biscuit sandwich, and the Lindstrom, a shaved brussels sprout salad (we use the term salad loosely here) with poached eggs, hazelnuts, lemon, and parmesan. Don't forget to order the bonuts which are fried biscuit dough."

You can go either savory or sweet with their buttermilk biscuit sides ranging from jams to wilted spinach to pimento cheese to banana peppers.

"Matt and Sheila Neal of Neal's Deli serve some of the best biscuits in the business. Their sausage, cheddar and fried apple biscuit is amazing and worth getting up early for. Oh, and don't miss the pastrami."

Their biscuits are served either as a breakfast side or with gravy or topped with eggs and bacon or vegan sausage.

"Great all day breakfast spot. I go for 2 eggs over easy, grits, and sausage... and don't forget the biscuit on the side."

Executive pastry chef Kelly Fields and pastry chef Lisa White (of Domenica and PIZZA Domenica) are collaborators in the bakery and restaurant. They do the biscuit proud serving them a variety of different ways like with fried chicken, Blue crab, Gulf shrimp or as a breakfast side.

"White and Kelly Fields of Willa Jean are killing the biscuit game. We had them first at Domenica, and have been dreaming of that biscuit with jam ever since. We might even consider giving up our firstborn for that recipe."

T-Ray's Burger Station

This is a classic Southern breakfast with the biscuit stealing the show.

"It is an old gas station converted into a diner. This is a local hot spot. Want to catch up on the town gossip? Go to T-rays. Some of the best biscuits, pancakes and down-home cooking in Fernandina."
